SENEX ( SHORT )
A LITTLE WARRIOR FILMS PRODUCTION
DIRECTOR: TOMÁS SEOIGE
MY ROLE: PRODUCTION DESIGNER
This is a short drama based on the John Betjeman poem “Senex”. The wise old man also called senex or sage in Latin, is a respected member of the community. We meet the old man as he sits on a bench and laments the passage of time. He mourns the desires, dreams and dilemmas of youth.

Made as part of The Clones Film Festival film challenge, it invites filmmakers, writer and crew to script, design, prep, scout locations, cast, rehearse, film, edit and present a finished short film in just 48 hours. This was such a great challenge and made me realise that I work well as part of a team to take initial scripted concepts and bring them through to screen in a short turnaround. As Production Designer on this short micro-budget film, I worked closely with the Director to convey a sense of this wise old man's nature. His attachment to the past is symbolised by the old bicycle bell which he holds in his hands.
