Irish language "soap" set in an imaginary Connemara village. Ros na Rún, has screened numerous ground-breaking moments on Irish TV over the last 20 years. The show is co-produced by Eo Teilifis and Tyrone Productions

I began my career working as Standby Props in soap opera. I was responsible for continuity, props and dressing on set. It was a fantastic training ground where I soon realised that joining an experienced crew and cast on a long running drama re-enforced the importance of fitting into a team and communicating effective. I became more fluent in the Irish language and working alongside so many people from different departments helped me to appreciate the collective creative challenges of delivering soap episodes on budget and schedule. As I moved up through the art department and got my first role as Art Director, I got to work on a Christmas special in which a cottage and petrol station goes up in flames. This took a lot of planning and co-ordination with construction, props and special effects.
